Customer Zach : I was surprised how beefy these plates actually were and when you hold one, it feels like a solid piece of steel, which is what you want when they are holding your weight suspended above the concrete floor in our gym. I mounted them directly into the ceiling joists with the provided 3/8 lag screws. After a couple of sessions, I'm confident they are not going to budge one bit.
